Capture the realism and character of live drums with Bloom Drum Kits—a tool crafted from kits played “in the room” and adapted for modern production. Combining raw, tightly synced drums with worn, processed hits, Bloom Drum Kits bring your rhythm section to life with performances full of grit and imperfection.
Inside, you’ll find a vast collection of expertly crafted beats and one-shots crafted from iconic kits, rhythmic top loops, detuned toms, signature snaps, and more to rock your tracks.
The result is a flexible palette for constructing rhythms that feel loose, tactile, and rich with movement, ideal for indie, unconventional electronic music, and more experimental production. Inspired by the raw drum sounds of Geese, Four Tet, and Bonobo, as well as Nicholas Jarre’s acoustic percussive approach to rhythm, Bloom Drum Kits infuses each composition with a raw sense of movement and individuality.

Sound Sources
Excite Audio’s team of professional sound designers and producers has created over 250 presets, organized into 7 categories:
Basic (BA) – Simple drum rhythms collected from each factory kit.
Experimental (EXP) – abstract, unusual presets with a more sound design focus.
Kits (KIT) are individual hits and phrases created entirely from one-shots.
High Energy (HI) – Faster, richer and more aggressive beats for extra punch.
Low Energy (LO) – Relaxed, minimalist grooves for softer, slower tracks.
Percussion (PC) – rhythmic sequences built entirely from percussion loops and samples.
Processed (PRO) – Heavily processed beats with distortion, effects and macro-oriented movement.
Top Loops (TOP) – Snare and Hi-Hat for layers and grooves.
How it works:
Stay in the creative flow on the Home page—trigger individual sounds with white notes and trigger phrases or adjust properties with black notes. Four powerful macros let you shape your sound, and a range of 250 presets lets you move quickly.
Choose from eight banks of sounds, organized into easily accessible categories. Change sounds by loading a new bank or dragging individual samples onto the 14 white notes for instant variety.
Edit Page: Shape Your Sound
For those who want to dive deeper, program entire sequences, slice hits and loops, and use custom samples—the edit page has it all. Bloom Drum Kits’ edit page includes parameters such as playback type and direction, attack and release, pitch and panning, and everything else you’d expect from a modern sampler.
Adding your own samples as sources in Bloom Drum Kits is ideal for those who want to put their own personal stamp on the Bloom engine. Drag an audio file onto the sample display on the main page to replace the existing sample.
Unlike traditional sequencers, Bloom Sequencer is designed for triggering and layering one-shots and loops, allowing for endless rhythmic sequence creation. In the modulation section, automate pitch, volume, and filter settings, as well as three effects, to add depth and dimension to your music.
In addition to high-pass and low-pass filtering, the editing page offers three effects. Bloom Drum Kits offers three powerful effects modules: Delay for adding rhythm and depth to your patterns, Dynamics for controlling the transients of your sequences, and compression and gating for shaping drum dynamics. Reverb creates space and depth using the Hall, Plate, and Spring algorithms from the Lifeline series.
