Once again, Eduardo Tarilonte seduces you into almost forgotten sound worlds. This time he is trying to capture the sounds of the birthplace of magic and mystery and their ancient civilizations. Enjoy the mysterious sounds from “A Thousand and One Nights”, the soundtrack of the desert sand escaping through time, and the music that makes the Prince of Persia dance.

Following his works Forest Kingdom, Desert Winds, Epic World and ERA Medieval Legends, Eduardo Tarilonte dedicated this library to the sounds of the ancient East: Ancient ERA Persia.

Two years of development has turned Ancient ERA Persia into a vast library of popular and lesser-known Middle Eastern instruments that will fire your imagination with their touching sounds.

As such, this library is the perfect choice for film soundtracks and TV documentaries about the region. At the same time, the library is suitable for traditional music and also provides the perfect backdrop for video games set in the Middle East.

Tools

For Ancient ERA Persia, Eduardo Tarilonte recorded 28 percussion, wind and string instruments of the highest quality and with the finest detail. In addition, you will find authentically sung phrases as well as inspiring sound ambiance. The instruments offer all articulations used in phrases. Several micro-tunings allow you to use any desired tuning for the instruments.

For percussion alone, there are 1000 loops in different tempos and rhythms, in addition to the instruments being played.

Ancient ERA Persia brings the sonic and musical vibes of the Middle East from the past into a modern DAW-enabled production environment. The Engine’s carefully programmed user interface provides a quick and easy workflow that immerses musicians in a state of pure creativity.

Ancient ERA Persia is suitable for different applications and genres. The spectrum includes vintage soundtracks with authentic timbres, fantasy games, movie soundtracks and new age songs.

The sounds of Ancient ERA Persia are truly unique and cannot be found in any other library. An excellent selection of instruments, articulations and soundscapes provides musicians and producers with an extensive collection that leaves nothing to be desired.

In detail, Ancient ERA Persia contains:
Drums: Bendhir, Daf, Darbuka, Davul, Daire, Rick, Rick plastic and Tombak

Wind instruments: Turkish mei high, Turkish mei low (combined in one instrument), Turkish clarinet, kaval, Turkish ney, Persian ney, zurna and duduk.

Bowed strings: Turkish violin, Lira 1, Lira 2

Plucked strings: Kopuz, Dutar, Santur, Oud, Big Baglama, Small Baglama, Tambur, Rabab and Tar.

The instruments in this 17 gigabyte library consist of extensive multisamples (24-bit, 44.1kHz) with multiple dynamic layers, multiple articulations, ring fingering, and true legato and glissando samples.

Recordings

Ancient ERA Persia was recorded by Jorge Calderón and Eduardo Tarilonte at Eldana Studios in Dueñas, Spain. All instruments were played by virtuosos, including Efren Lopez, Michalis Kooloumis, Stellios Petrakis, Jerome Salomon and Ivan Carlon.

Tarilonte used selected Kahayan U47 and Neumann U87 microphones with API preamps and Kahayan Epsilon summing amplifiers to record the instruments. In this library, the instruments were intentionally filmed up close, with no noticeable room ambiance, giving the user full control over the subsequent sound design and choice of effects. This makes it easy to combine Ancient ERA Persia sounds with other Eduardo Tarilonte libraries.
