Serum is a dream wavetable synthesizer, with truly high quality sound, a visual and creatively oriented interface, has a built-in wavetable editor for creating music was not a tedious process.

The synthesizer features a huge number of wave tables, and of course the ability to create your own. A unison generator that gives up to 16 voices and allows you to flexibly adjust the volume and detune ratio between them. The sound is very lively, and most importantly modern.

IMPORT YOUR OWN AUDIO / CREATE CUSTOM WAVETABLES WITH EASE

Serum has a built-in wavetable editor – you can create your own wavetables in a variety of ways. Import audio directly from audio files – Serum has many methods and options for analyzing audio to break it down into individual waveforms. Of course, you can import single-cycle wavetables, as well as multiple ones at once (with built-in sorting options or manual reordering). Convert between different wavetables using standard linear interpolation (crossfading) or harmonic/spectral transformation. Draw directly on the waveform with optional grid snapping and a variety of shape tools. Create or modify waveforms using FFT (additive). Create or process signals using formula functions. The processing menu options allow you to perform other tasks you want, such as applying fades, crossfades, normalizing, exporting, and more.

ULTRA-CLEAN OSCILLATORS

Wavetable reproduction requires digital resampling to reproduce different frequencies. Without much care and a lot of calculations, this process will create audible artifacts. Artifacts mean that you are (perhaps unknowingly) filling your mix with unwanted tones/frequencies. Many popular wavetable synthesizers are surprisingly poor at suppressing artifacts – even when set to high quality, some produce artifacts of -36 dB to -60 dB (the level difference between the main ones on the artifacts) that are clearly audible and, in addition, often suppress the most treble wanted audible frequencies in the process to try to suppress this unwanted sound. In Serum, oscillator playback in native mode (the default) operates with ultra-precise oversampling, resulting in a surprisingly inaudible signal-to-noise ratio (e.g. -150dB on a ramp played back at 1kHz at 44100)! This requires a lot of computation, so Serum’s oscillator playback has been aggressively optimized using SSE2 instructions to provide this high-quality playback without taxing your CPU any more than a typical (decent quality) software synthesizer already does. Download Serum and we think you’ll be able to notice both what you hear (solid highs that extend into the audible range) and what you don’t hear (no unwanted mud or forced gibberish – just good, clear sound ).

MODULATION – WORK THE WAY YOU WANT TO

The modulation system allows you to drag and drop connections between mod sources and destinations. Want an LFO to control filter cutoff? Simply drag the LFO name onto the cutoff knob. This LFO->Filter connection will now also appear in the mod matrix. In other words, you have two views/approaches for creating and modifying your modulations: sometimes a list is good, and sometimes you just want the job done quickly and easily.

REALTIME WAVETABLE MANIPULATION

In addition to moving through a set of wavetables (up to 256 make up a single oscillator), you can manipulate the waveform itself in a separate real-time process called warping. This allows for FM/AM/RM/Oscillator timing and many other waveform modifications, including “Remap” modes – a graph editor for drawing your own table manipulations.

FILTER TYPES

Serum includes all the filter types that LFOTool has, plus some completely new ones. Flangers, Phasers and Comb filters can match the musical note you are playing. Dual filter types allow you to manage or convert filter types. Get creative with atypical filter processes, such as downsampling, or unique filter types that have not been seen before, such as the dirty-sounding French LPF.

BUILT-IN SUITE OF EFFECTS

An effects rack with 10 effects modules allows you to take your sound to the finish line inside the Serum. Effects can be rearranged into any desired configuration. Almost all effect parameters are also available as modulation destinations. This is especially useful for monophonic synth sounds. For example, apply an LFO to control the amount of reverb or dry/wet, or a speed to control the amount of distortion. Many of these effects and modes were created just for Serum, so there are many unique effects to choose from, such as Hyper, which simulates (additional) unison values, or dual-wavehaper, which allows you to create distortions that you can convert between two separate shapes waves.

ADVANCED UNISON

Serum allows you to stack one oscillator to use up to 16 voices. Each of the wavetable oscillators has a number of additional unison parameters. Stack settings allow you to layer notes (such as octaves) to get a fuller sound when you hit a single note. Give all unison voices their own unique waveform using the Unison WT Pos setting, or change their distortion using the Unison Warp control. A variety of unison tuning modes for each oscillator let you make your stack sound spread or swarm just the way you want.

  • Ability to import or create your own Wavetables.
  • Ultra-clean oscillators – in short, the developers assure that the sound in Serum will be clean and almost transparent.
  • Advanced modulation capabilities
  • Ability to work with the wave table in real time
  • Large number of filters
  • Many effects and the ability to modulate each of them.
  • Extended unison – up to 16 voices per oscillator. Several unison operating modes and other features.
  • Serum includes 450 presets, 144 wave tables.

Just install… (same AppID as previous release.)

========== =============

This version can never uninstall anything in the library,
even if you uninstall Serum itself.
Rock on!
PS He really literally is the final boss. You know the one.
Queue the music…

PS If you have any sorts of issues, backup your library and settings.
Then, -clean- install to test it on out! (You can just put a – at end
of relevant folders. New ones will be made.)

%appdata%\Xfer >>> %appdata%\Xfer-
C:\Users{USERNAME}\Documents\Xfer >>> C :\Users{USERNAME}\Documents\Xfer-

If somehow you still feel there is something needing to be looked at,
feel free to send an e-mail to TeamCubeadooby@proton.me. Rock!

A final word: Don’t extract and try to run plugins that way. While
you might find success, the installer does some things that need
to be done to ensure success.

Enjoy, and not just the software.
