Specter adds harmonics and distortion similar to those introduced by analog equipment.
Algorithms available for work: Tube, WarmTube, Solid, Tape, ClassB, Diode, Digital and Bit. Add to that a clean channel with parallel amplification.
What’s new is that the incoming signal is processed into five separate EQ bands, which are in turn mixed with any of the eight analog circuits.
The user interface is very well designed, the plugin looks like a regular equalizer at first, but offers a lot more when you open up all the settings. Oversampling 4x or 16x is optional.
The Specter equalizer workflow
works like a graphic equalizer, the workflow of which we are all familiar with. Use it as an equalizer for better results.
The multi-range
Specter allows you to set different saturation for each range. You can also use them on different channels including mid/side.
High Quality
The Specter comes with 10 high quality saturation algorithms based on classic analog recording hardware.
