Classic EZX is a modern drum library that combines all the good in modern recording methods with the sound of the classic Helios console. It is known that this rare equipment formed production on the albums of such groups as The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and The Who. However, after almost 40 years of existence, it is considered one of the best sounds of all time.

The classic EZX was recorded by award-winning engineer Peter Henderson (Paul McCartney, Rush, Frank Zappa) and drummer Chris Whitten (Edie Brickell, The Waterboys) at the classic Shorefire recording studio in New Jersey. It comes with three complete sets with several choices for alternative instruments – all fine-tuned, hand-selected instruments. Classic EZX also presents a unique feature in the form of giving you two different settings; one modern microphone with several microphones and one with four microphones, the so-called “setup for 4 microphones”. This setup is what helped shape the unique and organic production on many of the great albums of the 1970s – the sound that makes the apparent resurgence of music at the top of the charts today.

Whether it’s a noisy rock song of the 1970s or a thin and dense modern pop track, the sounds of The Classic EZX are suitable for any mix.
