This jar of SERUM features 70 patches to create ambiance and atmosphere, from moody to uplifting and intense. This collection of presets is good for Ambient, Drone, Electronica, Downtempo and Scoring/Soundtracks. AMBIENCE is a very versatile collection of patches with many types of drones and pads – some more static and moody, others more dynamic and exciting. Also included are basses, keys, leads, dies and rhythm synths that complement the drones and pads and make this package suitable for a wider range of genres. One half of the presets were created by Tony under the pseudonym For Alltid, and the other half by me (Synth Blade/Nover).
To give this set an interesting new set of wavetables, Tony (For Alltid) recorded a bunch of samples from his SOMA Pulsar 23 and SOMA Enner and I built Serum wavetables from them. He also recorded 10 modulated noise samples from various synthesizer sources, which I supplemented with 28 field recordings I’ve made over the years using a Tascam recorder. Also included in this package is my first collection of Serum oscillators, “Analog Wavetables Vol. 1”, based on the DS Prophet Rev-2 recordings.
