Piano library update.

If a picture really is worth a thousand words, we think of The Felt Seiler in the same way, only in a musical context – you can convey many different emotions with just a few hand movements. Nothing too complex or “lush”, but at the same time powerful and touching enough to allow you to express yourself freely, nothing holding you back.

The library was recorded in Sofia Session Studio B with several close microphones, which were later combined into one mic position. In addition, The Felt Seiler contains 3 layers of synth/sound design of your choice, which will help you create a unique sound. We named these three layers according to the mood closest to how they sound: Warmth, Ache and Loneliness. For all three, you have the ability to remove (on/off button at the top of the volume control), solo or mute each of the layers.

In addition, you can adjust the volume and stereo width, and assign different outputs to each microphone position if needed. We’ve also added a “reverse” option (the round button with the upside-down play symbol) that lets you play any of the layers of the sound design in reverse, adding even more possibilities for creating different musical textures and colors.

In the center of the GUI, you’ll find the “Soft” and “Sustain” buttons. The latter is bound to your piano’s sustain pedal by default, as you’d expect, and will play sustain samples when pressed. However, pressing the button in the GUI will allow you to play all available sustain samples. We’ve also sampled The Felt Seiler with a soft pedal press, and this mode can be activated by pressing the “Soft” button in the interface. This sound becomes quieter and even softer because the dampers in the piano are located closer to the strings, the vibrations become less, which in turn leads to a warmer and more delicate sound.

  1. Make a partial backup of this library :
  • The Felt Seiler Pro.nicnt file in the root
  • The Felt Seiler Pro.nki file in the Instruments folder
  1. Copy with replacement of the folder and distribution files to the root of the library folder
