Excellent cinematic organ. Achieve the reverent cinematic sound made famous by blockbusters such as Interstellar, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Tron. Introducing the Rugby School Chapel Organ – a monstrous cathedral-sized organ made up of 3,721 pipes, housed in an intimate chapel, creating an epic yet immediate sound unlike any other.

To capture its unique depth, power and beauty, we teamed up with composer, producer and organ expert Andy Richards, who has developed instant playable stop combinations that allow you to get the most out of this instrument in a beautiful voice.

His impressive discography includes work on huge film soundtracks including Slumdog Millionaire, as well as records by iconic artists from Grace Jones to George Michael. Each pitch was recorded using multiple microphone positions for maximum realism and control, plus 50 stunning presets featured in our eDNA engine.

The Ultimate Organ

An extremely versatile instrument now widely used outside of the original church or horror films, the organ is ideal for adding depth, power and beauty to orchestral scores and compositions. In addition to such famous symphonic works as Saint-Saëns’ Organ Symphony, the organ is the basis for countless blockbusters of various genres, including Koyaanisqatsi (Philip Glass), Vertigo (Bernard Herrmann), Interstellar (Hans Zimmer) , 2001: A Space Odyssey (from Richard Strauss’s 1896 work Also Says Zarathustra) and The Throne (Wendy Carlos). There is no orchestral instrument that can drop lower in pitch, giving you a thunderous sub-bass that you feel rather than hear.

As soon as Spitfire founder and composer Paul Thomson heard the Rugby School Chapel organ, he knew Spitfire had to give it a try.

The contrast of this cathedral-sized organ – four manuals (keyboards), 71 notes (of which 55 spoken) and 3,721 pipes – with the intimate acoustic setting of the chapel, heard in the opening movement of Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd, creates an epic atmosphere. a sound that produces a unique intensity and immediacy. Professionally recorded and presented, this extensive organ library has been designed to pair perfectly with our Symphonic line, allowing you to create rich-sounding scores.
