Bowed Bucket is what we got from connecting a plastic barrel, a wooden beam and cello strings . The barrel was equipped with tuning tips, and then holes were drilled in which individual strings pass using the bottom wall as a bridge, so that sound is projected outward and downward. Then a wooden beam was attached to the bucket and the strings were pulled up.

We played with a bow, sorted the strings, hit with a drumstick to get tons of tonal sounds, and then programmed them into stand-alone instruments. Then we manipulated all this raw material to create atmospheric pads.

Playing with a bow on the strings produces a surprisingly clean, but rich and strong sound, with a lot of rumble and low frequencies. This sound is a bit like an electric cello, but with a unique roughness and body.

We recorded various bowed articulations both inside and outside the barrel. We have also connected our custom polyphonic Sim legato and Uberpeggiator systems to some instruments. And, of course, as a bonus, we also created a number of very cool leads, pads, ambient buzzes, FX presets to expand our creative possibilities.
