It’s been seven years since we released the incredibly popular KABUKI & NOH percussion library. During this time, we’ve gradually updated and expanded our large collection of recordings and samples of percussion instruments featured in Kabuki and Noh theater.
Now we’re finally releasing this work as a major update called KABUKI & NOH PERCUSSION 96k MASTER EDITION \ – a Kontakt library with full professional features and unrivaled Sonica instrument quality. KABUKI & NOH PERCUSSION 96k MASTER EDITION puts the sounds of Japan into the hands of all music makers.
Contains 65 types of percussion instruments – virtually all the percussion instruments known from Kabuki and Noh theatre – in high resolution 96 kHz/24-bit.
Each instrument was recorded in Advanced Multi-Mic Mode, with Direct 1, Direct 2, Overhead, Room and Stereo Mix channels available (sample size equivalent to approximately 40 GB in WAV format or approximately 20 GB in NCW format).
Contains two newly-recorded bonus libraries: a hayashi kakegoe ensemble call library and a nohkan flute phrase library.
Individually recorded left and right hand strokes are sampled alternately using up to 100 velocity layers to create extremely realistic dynamics and throw expression.
20 preset sets, each with a carefully selected selection of instruments, loaded into 16 instrument slots.
144 authentic hayashi percussion grooves (MIDI patterns).
Built-in instrument editor gives you full control over tuning and timbre without any loss of sound quality or instrument timbre.
Instrument mixer lets you create your own beautiful mixes for individual instruments.
Includes impulse responses from the Noh Theatre, renowned among Noh musicians for its acoustics.
