Resurrection of the legendary and innovative software synthesizer from the past! Released in 2006, Albino-3 was the result of a collaboration between virtual instrument designer Peter Linzener and Dutch sound designer and musician Rob Papen.
Now Albino-3 Legend has been revived, and under the guidance of our in-house programmers, we have added VST3 support, various GUI sizes, compatibility with the latest operating systems and PC and Mac processors.
Key features of Albino-3 include high-quality presets in a wide range of styles, a user-friendly interface, highly flexible oscillators, four types of stereo filters, a huge range of processing and modulation capabilities, a powerful flexible arpeggiator and a layer system that allows you to combine up to four layers in one preset.
Sound presets consist of 4 separate layers to synthesize rich, complex sounds.
Unlimited number of sound programs, Sound Browser
+2100 presets from Rob Papen and various artists
4 oscillators per layer, 4 types. Oscillator modules include analog type, digital type, noise type and audio input type. FM modulation and AM modulation. Oscillator synchronization in analog oscillators 2 and 4
Stereo filters, 4 types. Filter modules include Silk-type, Cream-type, Scream-type and Comb-type. 3 multi-mode filters (Silk, Cream and Scream), each of which has its own basic design, allowing you to get filters with different sounds. Stereo filters with panning and panning modulation capabilities.
The Saturation knob is located in front of each filter and allows you to add overdrive to the sound before it hits the filter. Four saturation types are available.
8 envelopes, 2 types. ADSFR type and 5-step envelope with loop function. Each envelope stage has separate slope/curve settings. Each oscillator has its own volume envelope.
4 LFOs with different waveforms and midi sync. LFO waves have adjustable trigger phase and waveform symmetry. LFOs can also be set to mono.
Modulation matrix including 16 routes with 27 sources and 36 destinations. Separate control section for Velocity to – AMP, Filter 1 and Filter 2.
Arpeggiator with 32-step rhythm sequencer, step length, clock settings, various modes including modulation and chord, switchable keyboard retrigger, swing, speed mixing, save function /downloads.
Spread function for each oscillator for super fat detuned sounds.
Chord memory mode (saved with preset)
4 effects blocks per layer, each containing 12 stereo effects, including two choruses, two delays, filter, phaser, reverb, flanger, gator, wah-wah, compressor and LoFi.
Mono/polyphonic portamento/glide with Fingered mode, switchable Constant Time/constant Rate and Auto-Bend modes.
Sound programs are stored directly on the hard drive, allowing for a virtually unlimited number of storage locations. For ease of searching, sounds are sorted by style cards. Built-in sound browser, supports changing MIDI programs and banks.
Adjustable Precision tuning to recreate the warmth of real analog synths
Gen (randomization) function for experimenting and having fun with presets
Microtonality support (Scala file import) for different scales (Indian, Arabic, etc.)
Adjustable keyboard speed response curve.
32-voice polyphony.
Adjustable voice limit (mono, 1…12, oo).
Indicates MIDI activity (pressing also triggers C3).
Some parameters are located on the “back panel”, which prevents them from being accidentally changed during operation.
The hardware settings of the controller (faderbox or synthesizer) can be saved and restored.
The dial operation switches between circular and linear modes.
