Evolution Stratosphere represents the fifth generation of the Evolution guitar engine and includes enhancements that deliver unrivaled realism and a more intuitive playing experience.
For example, Evolution Stratosphere features an intuitive and powerful strumming pattern editor. We felt it was important to create a system that would convey strumming better than the traditional step sequencer approach, so we developed a more powerful, faster, and easier-to-use system. It lets you control which strings you strum, the direction, and the speed of your strumming. Furthermore, you can use multiple articulations in a single strumming pattern and even include special effects like string slaps.
Evolution Stratosphere features a powerful guitar effects engine, including a vast collection of modeled guitar pedals. Furthermore, you can choose guitar cabinet sizes with multiple microphone options and placement. Overall, you have a full suite of guitar effects at your fingertips without the need for external guitar effects processors to achieve amazing sound.

Articulations contain 144 unique samples per note, although since each string was sampled separately, there may be many more in some cases, depending on your ability to play the same note on different strings.
- MIDI articulations for instant ascending/descending grace notes, buzz trills, whole-tone slides, whole-tone hammer-ons, velocity-sensitive and tempo-synced slides, octaves, and power chords.
- Legato samples for slides, hammer-ons, and pull-offs.
- Articulations have 3 dynamics and 4 loop modes.
- Modeled pickup selection: Bridge, Bridge + Middle, Middle, Middle + Neck, and Neck.
