The electric sitar emerged in the late 1960s, emulating the sound of the traditional sitar through the use of a special bridge and resonant strings. The electric sitar is undoubtedly a specialized instrument, commonly used in classic rock and modern jazz/fusion.
The model we used for the Evolution Sitardelic features a semi-hollow pine body with a masonite top, a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, and classic lipstick single-coil pickups. A full octave of drone strings adds additional resonance and body to the guitar.
We developed this library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most respected recording studios. Guy Randle, owner and engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, uses analog audio equipment to masterfully highlight the richness of guitar tone.
For sampling, Randle collaborated with Rich Dixon, an award-winning session guitarist, international performer, and teacher of jazz theory and improvisation.
Evolution Sitardelic features a powerful guitar effects processor, including a vast collection of modeled guitar pedals. Additionally, you can choose guitar cabinet sizes with multiple microphone and placement options. Overall, you have a complete set of guitar effects at your fingertips without the need for external effects processors to achieve stunning-sounding tones.
But don’t take our word for it—let your ears decide.
