Current is a virtual instrument, effects suite, and content platform designed for endless hours of inspiration. At its core, Current combines five powerful sound engines, multiple modulation options, expressive MIDI effects, FM synthesis, innovative filtering and more to create a seamless sound design ecosystem.
Based on the original Team NeBULA hack for Minimal Audio CURRENT.
An emulator is not required for activation.
Fixed problems with Internet related pop-up errors.
Now Current is completely cut off from the Internet.
Presets now load faster.
Note: Errors related to presets require full ownership (read and write access) of the Current folder in C:\ProgramData\Minimal\
Run your DAW as an administrator.
Wavetables
With Current’s dual oscillators, you get a whole range of wavetables. The possibilities are endless, from raw analog vibrations to the grace of bowed strings. Plus, with slots for wave and warp effects, audio manipulation reaches new heights.
Granular Research
A granular sampler is not just a sampler. It turns simple samples into endless soundscapes. Innovative rhythmic grain layering and multi-position playback features make granular synthesis an art form.
Sub & Sampler
For punchy bass and roaring 808s, Current’s additive sub-oscillator is what you need. Not to mention that its sampler boasts a top-notch time stretching algorithm. This is a heavenly match for the included loop library.
Filters and FM
A variety of rich filter types such as morph and comb, combined with a convenient FM section, create an endless spectrum of sound. Looking for harmonically rich tones? Current can help you.
The main effects are V1
Morph EQ, Cluster Delay, Fuse Compressor, Flex Chorus, Rift Distortion, Swarm Reverb, Hybrid Filter and Ripple Phaser.
Now you can move the Factory folder to any location convenient for you. Simply move the folder and then follow the instructions in Current to find it.
Added a global setting to enable OpenGL. If you are having problems with graphics, try enabling this setting.
Added a global setting to set the UI window size. Dragging the bottom right corner of the plugin window is still supported.
You can now drag the grain sampler waveform position indicator in Free mode.
Engine filters and hybrid filter responses are now draggable. Standard drag adjusts clipping and resonance, while command-drag on macOS or control-drag on Windows affects clipping and morph.
A preset instrument category is now added to preset pop-up buttons to improve sorting.
MIDI through now works as expected in DAWs that support it.
The hybrid filter now includes a spectrum analyzer.
Dragging custom content onto a sampler or wave oscillator now updates the position of the content popup as expected.
Right-clicking on user content in a stream or pop-ups now allows you to select the “Expand file” option.
Most time and tempo settings are now preserved when switching between synchronized and free modes.
When switching between Hybrid Filter and Polar Distortion Tune modes, the filter’s internal frequencies are now preserved.
Fixed a crash when playing very low notes with certain chord generator settings.
Fixed an issue with incorrect file permissions when trying to import content from a network drive.
Alphabetical order of content in engine popups is no longer case sensitive.
Other minor optimizations and improvements.
