With great power comes great responsibility.
Make it good and loud
. Use CGII to make your master recordings sound loud without losing the clarity, density, and weight of the original mix. Even if you’re working with an already loud mix, you can add a little more without introducing unpleasant distortion, leveling out the material, or sucking the life out of the low frequencies. At the same time, you can control the program’s true peak level to avoid intersample overshoot.
We’ve also included a dither, a DC-block filter, and full LUFS/True Peak metering so you can place CGII at the end of your master chain as a one-stop service for final processing.
While the CGII was originally designed to make things sound good and loud at the same time, you’ll find it works great in many different areas of your mixing and processing chain.
Use the loudness processor to excite harmonics. Use the density processor to induce bloom and enhance low-level clarity without affecting transients. Or, more simply, apply incredibly transparent true-peak lookforward limiting wherever needed.
User selectable oversampling (up to 16x)
World-class processing and workflow
The density process effectively increases the perceived level of a program by enhancing previously masked detail without affecting the dynamics of high-level peaks.
The loudness process provides a transparent increase in RMS level while keeping peaks below full scale.
True Peak Limiter transparently controls output levels, ensuring that the true peak level never exceeds the set ceiling.
The DC filter removes residual DC offset.
Dieter allows you to increase the output to 16-24 bits
Nixie Tubes provide dB readings of any user-selectable parameters (LUFS Integrated, LUFS Short Term (or Hold), LUFS Momentary (or Hold), True Peak, or TP Hold)
