Powerful 80s analog synthesizer reborn as a VST / AU plug-in with modern enhancements. In 1986, the field of synthesizers was dotted with digital technology. This is why the original AX73, with its all-analog signal path, went unnoticed in splendid isolation. Martinic took everything that was valuable about the original AX73 and turned it into a powerful, flexible software tool that fits perfectly into the modern synthesizer lineup.

Four analog oscillators on two synthesizer levels, unique modulation functions, advanced performance options and an eight-module effects section – this is how the AX73 (VST / AU) plug-in unleashes the full power of the original equipment and even more: no diving into the menu required, everything is perfectly modeled using our technology Advanced Circuitry Emulation. Plus, it includes a generous lineup of over 600 inspiring presets so you can get started right away.

21st Century Interface

The Settings View offers a clean, easy-to-use set of options for quick editing.
The keyboard layout, which emulates the look of the original hardware, has also been updated with many functions – no need to navigate menus!
The robust preset manager allows you to quickly save and sort your favorite presets into a “collection” that you can easily export and share with your friends!

New Effects Section

Process the synth output with eight built-in effects:
Compressor, Phaser, Flanger, Chorus, Delay, Reverb, Distortion and EQ
. These effects can be used in any order – just rearrange them by dragging and dropping in the FX chain.

Some borrowing

The best elements of other synthesizers in the AX line have been redesigned into a feature-rich interpretation of the AX73. Examples include the additional chorus and arpeggiator settings from the AX60, the second VCO and sub-oscillator from the AX80, and the extended VCO octave range up to 32 ‘like the AX60 and 80.

Modulation power!

The AX73 plugin also has much more modulation capabilities than the original. It has four envelopes per layer (three of which are assignable) and four assignable LFOs per layer. Considering both layers, this gives an impressive eight envelopes and eight LFOs.

Separate or layered layers to create your own sound

Uniquely, the AX73 has two layers that can be split across the keyboard – allowing two patches to be played at the same time – or stacked for an extra dimension of sound. In addition, each layer has its own independent arpeggiator with 11 built-in modes, including some unusual modes like Shuffle and Improv that you can use to quickly create melodies.
