Celesta is a keyboard metallophone. Enjoy the playful and enchanting sound of Moonlight Celeste, recorded in a large concert hall with multiple microphones, atmospheric layers and additional instruments to help shape the sound for both orchestral and contemporary performances.

About the Library

Crafted with both traditional and modern performance in mind, Moonlight Celeste was meticulously recorded by the team at Fracture Sounds in the same venue where Spotlight Piano, Midnight Grand and Glacier Keys were recorded. In addition to close, mid and far mics, the library also features three carefully selected atmospheric layers that blend seamlessly with the dry samples. Additionally, a new Music Box layer helps create a more vintage and playful tone, while the Lo-Fi control can transform the library’s pristine clarity into a unique electronic sound.

Basic Controls

The basic controls of this library allow you to quickly tweak the sound of the instrument. Colour is an EQ setting that can brighten or darken the overall tone of the celesta, while the Attack and Release settings give you more options to refine the sound and create softer pads when the dry samples are combined with the ambience and reverb layers.

The library comes with three microphone mixes, with the close mics giving the performer’s perspective, the mid mics providing more balance, and the far mics adding the ambience of the large concert hall in which the library was recorded. You can quickly find the balance between these microphone signals using the Perspective slider.
