A collection of oriental brass instruments. Komorebi means “sunlight shining through the trees.” The word describes the beauty and wonder of rays of light breaking through the foliage overhead, casting dancing shadows across the forest floor.
The Komorebi Flutes are a traditional oriental Japanese/Chinese wind instrument ideal for scoring, electronic and meditative music production. Like traditional Japanese and Chinese mask magic, the magical Komorebi Flutes have many “faces”: they can make a calming “zen” sound, but they can also scare you.
The flutes were recorded in 192 kHz 32-bit, and together with the bonus material the library weighs 14.2 GB.

Komorebi Flutes features the library’s strong point, the shakuhachi, including what is likely the largest number of articulations of this instrument ever recorded for a Kontakt library. Komorebi Flutes also includes accompanying flutes such as the bau, hulusi, and dizi to add flavor and enhance traditional sound spectra. To give your music a truly oriental feel, Komorebi Flutes also includes shamisen, guzheng, orchestral elements, bells, mesmerizing piano, deeply sampled wind chimes, and effects from real sources such as ocean waves, waterfalls, rain, birds, and more.
Each instrument is meticulously sampled to capture every nuance, breath, and articulation, providing expressive sounds that are ideal for both cinematic scores and modern music production. With 4 sound sources you can switch from one articulation to another.
Whether you’re composing music for film, TV or games, or creating unique world music tracks, Komorebi Flutes offer a wide range of textures – from airy, delicate tones to rich, resonant sounds – to perfectly complement your vision.
