Duduk is a musical wind reed instrument of ancient Armenian origin.

The duduk, made from dried apricot wood, is a historical Armenian traditional wind instrument. It is now famous for its appearance in the films Dune and Dune: Part II with music by Hans Zimmer. Its sound is meditative and mesmerizing, similar to the oboe and saxophone. The reed of the duduk is handcrafted from reed and must be washed with water beforehand to bring it back to life and sound.

The duduk tells an ancient story, perhaps dating back 1,500 years. To this day, you can hear the voices of your ancestors through this instrument.

The duduk is recorded at 192 kHz sampling rate and 32 bit depth, and contains basic as well as experimental articulations presented in extended chromatic scales. What makes the duduk unique is the way it was recorded and further explored in snapshots.
