Give your action, sci-fi and horror movie a fourth-volume blockbuster boost in the acclaimed ProjectSAM Symphobia series. Pandora lets you evoke exciting cinematic risers, forebodings of falls, and stunning crescendos with unrivaled lightness and flexibility. Pandora’s innovative Adaptive Sync quickly and effortlessly combines a huge library of articulations and effects with your sequence, so your next deadline shouldn’t be a nightmare. In addition, fully customizable sound design tools help you quickly create your desired tones.
ADAPTIVE SYNCHRONIZATION INTRODUCTION
Pre-recorded crescendos and rolls sound great. But they had a flaw: they were not very flexible. Any composer recognizes trial and error by pushing a crescendo note until it ends in the right place. This is a tedious task that most of us would prefer to skip if we could.
Symphobia 4: Pandora is filled with transitional samples – sounds that progress dynamically or directionally over time – from powerful copper crescendos to dissonant garlands. All of these samples have one thing in common: a clear musical ending or climax.
With Adaptive Sync, you can simply set the number of strokes or seconds you need for a crescendo, throw or lift. Touching a huge pool, Adaptive Sync automatically selects the most suitable record from its database and intelligently adjusts it to exactly match your hit point. In the same way, you can very quickly calculate the crescendo time or throw it on the next hit *. If you move the note forward or backward, the engine automatically switches to a more suitable recording, if necessary. If you change the tempo of your track, Adaptive Sync will change accordingly.
Bold articulation and hunting effects
Symphobia 4: Pandora offers a wide selection of large and bold, playable ensemble articulations, ranging from cellos and basses to a massive 30-piece Tutti orchestra. For all crescendo and excitement, Adaptive Sync is ready to help.
All articulations were selected and recorded to add unprecedented volume to an existing orchestral template. Symphobia 4: Pandora – The ultimate cinematic finishing touch.
The selection of instruments offers exciting, additional sound layers that can be mixed with basic articulation on the fly. For example, the Tutti Orchestra Crescendo tool displays controls for quickly adding grand cash register rolls, timpani, and plates. In the same way, you can quickly add a sweetener to the bass drum and percussion instruments.
The Symphobia series has always been an ideal venue for orchestral effects. For Pandora, many bones were chilled during effects sessions. The library contains more orchestral effects than ever: from eerie violin textures to loud copper beats. And in Adaptive Sync and Sound Design Mode, the recorded effects are now more flexible and customizable than ever. For thriller, horror and sci-fi points, Symphobia 4: Pandora is a must.
The dedicated Pandora effects module in combination with Sound Design Mode gives you the ability to completely flip any orchestral sound, creating dark soundscapes and ominous textures using synchronized stuttering, pitch envelopes and other individual effects.
SOUND DESIGN MODE
Clicking on the triangle icon activates Sound Design Mode. This allows you to directly manipulate the selection of mapped samples and tune your presets using the waveform control. You can trigger sampled positions, reverse playback, reverse synchronization with lower frequencies, time stretching and much more. These features are even available for tools that use default streaming. We continue to build on the foundation of Sound Design Mode in future library updates **.
By clicking the triangle icon again, you will immediately return to the safety of the orchestra mode.
PULS
Symphobia 4: Pandora has both cluster and tonal pulses.
Cluster Pulses are idiomatic combinations of notes that add an instant cinematic momentum to your track. Each key contains a different recorded group of notes for strings, brass and woodwinds. For each impulse there is a suitable phrase crescendo and staccato crescendo. They work both intros and exits, especially when combined with Pandora’s crescendo and Adaptive Sync rolls. Tonal pulses are available for low and medium strings performed in octaves and unison, respectively. Tonal impulses offer additional synchronized synthesizing layers that can be mixed with an orchestral impulse on the fly.
All pulses were recorded in 4, 8 and 16 repetitions. The Pandora interface allows you to switch the middle circuit with completely unchanged synchronization.
RISERS
No cinematic library can do without a solid collection of stretching strings. For Pandora, several recording sessions were devoted exclusively to this, covering a duration of 2 to 15 seconds in various game techniques and dynamic arcs, including arcs, accelerating staccato, harmonics and tremolo sul ponticello. And here adaptive synchronization makes it easy to align Risers with your sequence.
You can use the orchestral Risers in their original form or give them trailer processing by adding an idiomatic, accelerating stuttering effect and some saturation using the Pandora effects module. Several shots are included as inspiring examples. Pandora also includes a set of disturbing string down jackets.
