SWAM (Synchronous Waves Acoustic Modeling) is a sophisticated, patented next-generation technology that allows musicians, performers and composers to overcome the classic limitations of traditional samplers.

Conceived by Stefano Lucato and developed in collaboration with Emanuele Parravicini, the SWAM engine combines physical and behavioral modeling concepts with a multi-vector/phase-synchronous sampling-morphing technique.

Ideal for multi-vector expressive acoustic instruments such as woodwinds, brass and bowed strings, the SWAM engine is currently available in 3 different versions: SWAM-B, SWAM-W and SWAM-S for modeling brass, woodwinds and bowed strings.

3.8.0 [July 1, 2024]

NEW

  • Introduced the new Ambiente Room Simulator.
  • Ambiente Room Simulator is a high-level mathematical simulator designed to recreate early reflections based on the spatial placement of instruments, providing superior reverb compared to previous versions of SWAM.
  • This feature allows for seamless interaction between all SWAM instruments, allowing each instrument to control the environment by being aware of the other instances and synchronizing accordingly.
  • Includes three different rooms with 18 unique combinations of sizes and absorbing materials for instrument placement.
  • Legacy Reverb mode available for backward compatibility.

Improved Accessibility Features

  • Added keyboard shortcuts for easier navigation.
  • Improved compatibility with voice-over and screen reader instruments for a more inclusive user experience.
  • Added NKS VST3 support.

Audio Enhancements

  • Improved legato noise for higher audio quality.

UI and UX Improvements

  • Improved preset management: saving and resetting is now done via templates. This term replaces Quick Reset and Preset for applying settings unrelated to the audio engine (e.g. MIDI mapping, Micro tuning, Room).
  • New search view for faster navigation through parameters and display of all parameters.
  • New service pop-ups have been added to help users troubleshoot and apply the correct setting.

Revised and Expanded Manuals

  • The manuals have been thoroughly revised, improved and expanded to provide more comprehensive guidance and support.
