Ruby 2 is an exact reproduction of the highly sought-after VT-5 vacuum tube equalizer from DW Fearn and is officially endorsed by Fearn himself. The original hardware equalizer uses a passive LC circuit with class A triode vacuum tube stages at the input and output. The input transformer is made by Jensen, and the output stage uses the same Jensen transformer used in the VT-1/VT-2 mic preamps.

EQ section:
- Low Cut: 30, 40, 100 or 400 Hz, 0 to -18 dB shelving •
Low Boost: 20, 40, 60 or 140 Hz, 0 to 16 dB shelving - Mid Cut: 200 , 300, 400, 500, 600 or 700 Hz, 0 to -16 dB
- High Boost: 1.5, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12 or 16 kHz, 0 to 12 dB with Q bandwidth 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.4 or 1.7
- High Cut: 1.5, 3.5, 8 or 28 kHz, 0 to -14 dB shelving.
Preamp section:
- Preamp: On and off.
Other controls:
- Input Trim: -24 dB to +24 dB.
- Output Gain: -24 dB to +24 dB.
All files were taken from the Acustica Audio release from R2R and repackaged as an installer to facilitate installation/removal and save hard drive space.
