Amethyst 4 is a high-performance channel strip delivering the warm sound of some of the famous British consoles of the late 70s and early 80s. The Amethyst channel strip includes three sections: a preamp, an equalizer plus filters, and a dynamics processor.
Each of these sections is also available as a separate plug-in module, which expands the possibilities of use. The filter section combines 2 sets of filters (AB mode). In addition to EQ A, the EQ section includes a new emulation (B).
The new equalizer circuit is based on a well-known British design, which allows you to get an unmistakably “expensive” sound. In addition to a completely new set of EQ curves, EQ B has 2 controls: GLOWY for the low-frequency section and SHINY for the high-frequency section.
These controls allow you to change the slope of the bass and treble cells, thereby changing the overall tonal balance of the sound without changing its character.
Amethyst is based on a mixing console that has received critical acclaim as one of the best sounding consoles of all time.

Amethyst has a fresher look and is updated with the latest technology. In addition, it adds 49 new preamps (24 LINE + 24 MIC + 1 MIX ST), for a total of 53 emulations.
