Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Studio 21.0.0.33 BETA 3 (x64)

DaVinci Resolve is the world’s only solution for editing and color correction, visual effects, graphics creation, and audio post-production in a single software environment.
Its modern, stylish interface is simple and intuitive for both new and experienced users. DaVinci Resolve significantly streamlines the creative process,
eliminating the need to master multiple applications or switch between different systems. This allows you to work with high-quality original images.
Essentially, DaVinci Resolve combines all the attributes of a post-production studio. Now you have access to the same DaVinci Resolve tools used in Hollywood!

Blackmagic Design has unveiled DaVinci Resolve 21, one of the most significant updates in the program’s history. The key new feature is a dedicated Photo page, which brings DaVinci’s full color correction tools to still images for the first time.

The Photo page offers a complete photo editing environment—LightBox mode displays all albums with applied grades in real time, and filtering by grading status, star rating, flags, and clip color makes it easy to navigate large shoots.

Albums can be organized by shooting day, camera model, or custom criteria. Batch tagging and raw parameter adjustments are designed to speed up work with large photo shoots. Albums are also displayed as timelines on the Color, Cut, and Edit pages.

Perhaps the most unexpected addition was the Camera Controls feature—the ability to connect a Sony or Canon camera directly to DaVinci Resolve for live shooting, controlled through the program’s interface. You can adjust ISO, exposure, and white balance directly in Resolve, monitor via live view, and save capture presets for consistent results. Captured frames are saved directly to albums within the project.

The Photo page supports Resolve FX and Open FX plugins, allowing you to apply effects, graphics, transformations, and DCTL to your photos. LUTs can be applied directly or generated for in-camera use or monitoring.

AI-powered tools, including Magic Mask, are also available on the Photo page—with a single click, you can select an object or person for spot grading. The new UltraSharpen AI tool lets you enlarge low-resolution images without noticeable loss of quality.

There are eight new AI tools in the release, each addressing a specific task:
AI IntelliSearch – analyzes media and finds relevant objects, keywords in dialogue, or specific faces, displaying the results as full clips in the media pool.
AI Speech Generator – generates voice performances from text using built-in Blackmagic voice models or a custom voice trained on recordings of 10 seconds or more
AI CineFocus – Allows you to set the focal point in a scene and change the depth of field in post-production, including aperture shape and bokeh effects with keyframe support
AI Face Age Transformer – Adds or removes signs of age (wrinkles, fullness) using an age shift slider, useful for flashbacks and flashforwards
AI Face Reshaper – Tracks a face in a clip and provides options to change the eyes, nose, mouth, eyebrows, and facial shape of a moving subject.
AI Blemish Removal – removes acne, pigmentation, blemishes and pores while preserving the skin’s natural texture
AI Slate ID – Automatically detects slate in a frame, including dark or out-of-focus shots, and extracts metadata to populate clip information
AI Motion Deblur – analyzes source material and generates a render with significantly reduced motion blur artifacts
Of particular interest to Fusion users is the integration of the Krokodove library, a popular and long-standing compositing toolset. The library includes productivity utilities, vector and data tools, and customizable 2D and 3D graphics templates.

In total, Krokodove adds over 70 new graphic tools to Fusion. Additionally, the Fusion macro editor has received significant interface improvements, and a new inspector simplifies macro customization, formatting, and publishing.

On the Fairlight side, folder tracks have been added – multiple audio tracks can be combined into a folder and collapsed into a single composite view, where the contents are displayed as mini-rectangles.

If needed, the folder can be expanded to access individual tracks—convenient when working with multi-track sessions. A Fairlight Animator modifier has also been added, linking Fusion to the Fairlight audio engine: audio levels from timeline or media pool clips can control animation parameters, such as eye and lip movements.

The MultiMaster Trim Manager allows colorists to generate multiple HDR and SDR deliveries from a single timeline, managing each standard separately and rendering all iterations in a single pass. The Magic Mask palette now features a render-in-place feature, caching the tracked mask as a running matte node, significantly reducing CPU load.

In terms of motion graphics, native OGraf support for HTML graphics and Lottie animations has been added – .json and .lottie files can be dragged directly into the media pool, where they are processed as fully rendered animation clips with alpha channel support. Text tools now feature a multilingual spell checker, a separate font browser window with previews, emoji support, and character-level styling.

For immersive workflows, DaVinci Resolve 21 adds foveated rendering to Apple Immersive, a system that mimics human vision by enhancing detail where the viewer is looking and reducing GPU load at the edges.

Standard immersive settings have also been added to the master project parameters for delivery to the Meta Quest and YouTube VR platforms, and the USD toolset has been updated to SDK 25.11 with the Hydra 2.0 API for the Storm renderer.
