The Evolution Rick 12 captures the iconic sound of the 12-string electric guitar. We sampled a flawless vintage model with a semi-hollow maple body, rosewood fingerboard, and classic high-gain pickups.
We developed this library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most respected recording studios. Guy Randle, owner and engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, uses analog audio equipment to masterfully shape and highlight the rich tonal qualities of the guitar. We’ve provided not only the direct guitar signal but also an enhanced one. Since this is the default setting, we recommend using the enhanced signal, which increases the guitar’s richness and sustain.
For sampling, Guy Randle enlisted the help of versatile and experienced guitarist Michael Dowdle. Michael Dowdle has an impressive musical pedigree. His session guitar career includes recordings for artists such as Marie Osmond, The Osmond Brothers, John Schneider, David Archuleta, and The Jets, as well as contributing music to numerous films and television series. He has also performed on stage with artists such as Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, The Coasters, Sam Cardone, and many others.
The Evolution Rick 12 features a powerful guitar effects processor, including a vast collection of modeled guitar pedals. You can also choose from a variety of guitar cabinet sizes, with multiple microphone and placement options. Overall, you have a complete set of guitar effects at your fingertips without the need for external effects processors to achieve stunning sound.
