The Elusive Sound of Tape
There’s nothing quite like the feel of a real analogue synth, recorded to tape and run through real hardware effects. But often, when I want to get that sound in a casual session, I don’t want to mess around with cables, cleaning oxidation off dusty tape heads, and troubleshooting a 40 year old synth that suddenly decided it needed servicing.
Capturing the Magic By
painstakingly sampling some of my favourite patches from my favourite synths, through my favourite pedals, and recording it all to VHS, cassette, and reel-to-reel tape, this instrument radiates character and warmth like no other emulation.
