Updated analog synthesizer

  • A tribute to the legendary line of analog synthesizers
  • Over 200 presets providing warm analog tones in a flexible dual-layer architecture
  • Use presets as starting points for your own patch designs

Between 1979 and 1984, one of our favorite Japanese manufacturers designed and built some of the most unique and distinct sounding analog synthesizers in the world. In the CS-M, we’ve focused on some of the lesser-known models, including the 70-M, 40-M, 20-M, and 01.

The UVI CS-M features a dual-layer architecture and instant preset/layer switching, making it an unusually responsive instrument capable of producing a wide and authentic sonic palette. The layers include every possible basic waveform and noise, as well as expertly programmed presets, all made on the original machines. A lot of effort was put into ensuring that the authentic sound and natural character of these machines was preserved and clearly translated into the CS-M. Everything was sampled, right down to the unique unison and ensemble modes.

Enjoy the beautiful vintage sounds of these synths, or take them to new territory with the UVI Engine. The CS-M comes with a host of features to help you enrich and customize your sounds, including dual arpeggiators, a step sequencer, LFOs, and precision-modeled FX, allowing you to freely navigate territory that older hardware never dreamed of.

From thick and gritty basses to warm and sparkling arpeggios and sharp analog leads, the UVI CS-M is a grand ode to some of our favorite hardware inspirations.
