Ludwig drums (1973) with Zildjian cymbals Made simply and deliciously! And considering such a small library weight, this is a very worthy work.

We present you our first drums for Kontakt.
LDW 1973 is a vintage Ludwig kit combined with Zildjian cymbals.

The kit is recorded with 4 microphones using the famous Glyn Johns technique.
Each kit element has a specific blend of all four mics exported into a single sample, to get
the best possible element sound.

This means that you cannot control each mic per element separately during processing.
This approach has limitations but gives you extremely fast workflow, because you have a mixer
with a fader per element.

In short, this approach gives you the most optimal and efficient workflow with quick results.
All elements are sampled in 7 round robins.
Dynamic layers vary depending on the element.

For example, snare has 7 dynamic layers, kick has 6 and toms have 5.
We tried to achieve the perfect balance between instrument size, natural sound and effective
workflow.

  • KICK
  • SNARE
