Shreddage 3 Hydra is the culmination of everything we at Impact Soundworks have learned over 10 years of creating virtual guitars. It is our vision of what a no-compromise, maximum-quality 8-string guitar should be. Our internal quality bar was so high that we recorded the entire sample pack three times in pursuit of the perfect performance and tone.

We chose the RGIF8 “Iron Label” for our guitar, tuned to a low E, and equipped it with Fishman Fluence Tosin Abasi signature pickups. These pickups put the Shreddage 3 Hydra in a class of its own, even compared to our other instruments. Not only do they have clear and useful tones (neck and bridge position), but they also have unrivaled clarity and low noise. Some open string sustain notes last for over 40 seconds!
With a comprehensive selection of all the useful articulations, dynamics, RR variations and layers, the Hydra gives you all the tools you need to create absolutely incredible guitar tracks. When written correctly (check out our YouTube Masterclass series below), you can create rhythms, chords, and leads that are mesmerizing in their sound and realism.
Naturally, this is a killer guitar for rock and metal music, especially the heavier subgenres and progressive variations.
