Current is a virtual instrument, a set of effects and a content platform created for endless hours of inspiration. At its core, Current combines five powerful sound engines, multiple modulation options, expressive MIDI effects, FM synthesis, innovative filtering and more to create a seamless sound design ecosystem.
Current’s effects rack offers a freely downloadable and reconfigurable chain of all of Minimal Audio’s standalone plugins. Beyond creative effects, Current offers the flexibility and mixing tools you need to create impeccable sounds right out of the box.
The heart of Current is Stream, a cloud-based content browser integrated directly into the device. Discover new presets, samples and wavetables that are automatically added as you work. Browse, download, favorite, and get back to making music right away.
- Install Current
- Install Factory Content Enhancements.exe
- Go to the C:\ProgramData\Minimal folder, right-click on it and select “Properties”.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click “Edit…”
- Click “Users” (your user\Users).
- Select the Allow checkbox to gain full access.
- Click Apply, OK.
- After launching Current, you will be prompted to download content, click “Not Now” (Since you already have content when you install Current)

= C:\ProgramData\Minimal\Current & the vst to your vst2 or vst3 directory
.Go to C:\ProgramData\Minimal folder, right click the Current folder and click Properties
Click The Security tab
Click Edit…
Click Users (youruser\Users)
Click The Allow tick box for Full Control
Click Apply, OK
.Load Current
you will be asked to download the content, click not now
(As you already have the content when you installed Current)
