QuikQuak Crowd Chamber is a multiplayer game in which you and your friends can play on the same computer together. The game is a Windows version of Red Empire’s QuikQuak.

As the name suggests, the game takes a lot of inspiration from Red Empire’s QuikQuak but has some new ideas. There’s an overhauled engine, a huge database of custom levels, a huge online community of map builders and a load of other stuff that we don’t know about yet.

For the uninitiated, QuikQuak is a top down 2d shooter that came out in 2001 and is still going strong. The game uses a fixed sized screen and a matrix of numbered keys, rather than a mouse, to control the movement of your character. You can move up, down, left and right, and also jump. The game is meant to be played with friends as a 2v2 scenario, or up to 4v4.

QuikQuak: Crowd Chamber on the other hand, has a a single player campaign and supports multiplayer up to 16 players. You can join up to three teams in the single player mode. There are over a hundred customisable game modes, ranging from “friendly fire” and deathmatch to a space race, time attack and robot survival.

QuikQuak: Crowd Chamber features a single map with many levels. Each player has a lifebar that allows you to rest between rounds.

This is a free trial of QuikQuak: Crowd Chamber – the full version is available on the download page.
