Get 3D mixes in headphones. Binauralizer Studio is a spatial audio plugin for converting surround sound tracks (up to 22.2) to binaural 3D audio. It stores all the spatial information contained in the original multichannel track and translates it into binaural form for listening through headphones.
Several input formats are allowed, including stereo, quad, 5.1, 7.1, as well as new immersive immersive formats such as 7.1.2, 7.1.6,… up to 22.2. Several channel orders are available for each format to create a versatile binaural mixer.
Binauralizer Studio uses Head Related Transfer (HRTF) for binaural processing. Accurate measurements of the Neumann KU 100 dummy head (courtesy of Audio Group TH Koln) have been carefully modeled and incorporated into the plug-in. Custom HRTFs and Binaural Room Impulse Responses (BRIR) can also be loaded in SOFA format for personalized binaural downmixing.
Binauralizer includes a drag and drop SOFA importer. This allows you to choose “the head you want” for binaural rendering. Several SOFA files are available on the SOFA website. They were measured on different people or mannequins. Just drag and drop them into the Binauralizer Studio Options window to replace the default filters.
